Materials & Size Material: Glazed ceramics Backside: Unglazed, with a natural stone-like feel Diameter: 18/19 mm How the Buttons Are Made Every TodoBunto button undergoes a meticulous, multi-step process: Bisque Firing – The raw clay is shaped by hand and fired at approximately 1000 °C, creating a durable ceramic base. Glazing – Two layers of glaze are applied manually, ensuring depth, richness, and individuality in each finish. Glaze Firing – Once dry, the buttons are fired a second time at around 1230 °C, forming their final glossy, resilient surface. Because the backs remain unglazed, they feel pleasantly natural—almost like smooth stone—and provide good grip when sewn onto fabric. Washing & Care Instructions Ceramic buttons are durable but require mindful care due to their rigid, fragile nature: Buttons under 23 mm: Safe for machine washing on a wool/sensitive cycle, with the garment turned inside out. Buttons over 23 mm: Should be hand washed to avoid impact damage. General Note: Ceramic buttons are resistant to water and heat but may break if subjected to strong movement inside the washing machine.
